My name is Caleb ..... I am not really good at writing these things but I'll do my best. I am moving to Coalinga, California in two weeks and am super excited. Im from a little river town in Missouri that probably everyone on the planet has heard of. I graduated college last may and recieved my BFA in ceramics/sculpture and after I take two more classes I will have a minor in psychology. Im a veteran, served in the Army. Thats how I met my freind from Cali. We have not seen each other in 8 yrs. Im really into asian culture, it has a huge influence on my art work. I also blow glass, I started blowing glass about 7 yrs ago and when it became to expensive I switched to ceramics. So I go back and forth alot.
Love to go out and explore new foods ( I watch Food Network religiously), take strolls through museums, go to concerts, or just stay at home and watch some foriegn movie and turn the sound down low and add lib the scenes. I am also a huge fan of the theatre.
I guess I should say something about what Im looking for on hear. That is for someone to just hang out with, someone to show me around Cali, just someone to chill with.

This is the part where I try to answer the agonizingly philosophical question, "Who am I?" while I attempt to charm you with my wit and proper use of punctuation and grammar. Let's see . . . more often than not you can find me staring up at the stars and moon on clear nights, trying not to let the quiet beauty and everyday joys in life pass me by, and taking long walks through kitschy downtown areas (although I prefer beaches and forested areas). I also spend a lot of time contemplating the big picture, having long conversations about a myriad of things, listening to KPFA and reading the headlines on the Democracy Now! website, and sitting in cafes drinking overpriced coffee while I read or peoplewatch.

Other than that, I have some pretty strong leftist beliefs; like I feel organized religion is a limiting, destructive system for manipulating the masses, but I'm not some bitter, jaded, angry, empty, or sad agnostic who lives a life devoid meaning or morality! I'm actually a pretty easy-going, happy, compassionate person who's in love with life. I believe in the potential of human beings to live better, fuller, more conscious lives. I'm constantly awed at the immensity and beauty of the universe. I don't think that it's radical or naive to say that we should uphold ideas like equality, justice, human rights, and animal rights. I believe that we should protest and take direct action to end all war because peace is the only state in which we can collectively flourish. I also think that universal health care, a living wage, better and more affordable housing for all, a socialized child care system, free higher education for all people, electoral reform, reform of our legal/penal system, and finding serious solutions to solve the various environmental crises our species has created should be at the forefront of every politician's agenda (and if not, we the people should be pressuring them to care about such things). I also am anti-capitalist, pro-syndicalism, and pro-democracy just in case you were wondering.

I know how serious that all sounded, but I'm really not that serious all the time. I think that laughter is an essential part of life, and in the right company I will laugh until my stomach hurts. I also don't think adults spend enough time playing--I like board games, and toys like legos, and blowing soap bubbles. I have a tendency to daydream and get lost in my own thoughts, so if I look far away or get really quiet it's probably because I am. Besides this, I'm a bookworm; I usually have 3 or 4 books I'm reading at any one time. I love cooking (I have wooed confirmed carnivores with my vegetarian cuisine). I could spend all day wandering around museums and galleries.

Ok so here we go. About myself, well im 6'5" about 200lbs. I love to go out and do different things all the time....still waiting to try ice skating though. I am currently attending school with a major in Law and a minor in journalism. I like to do different things from just going to the beach to taking my boat out to the lake.
